New New Abyss Tracker update!

Early June we already announced that we where going to rebuild the rebuild of the Abyss Tracker due to same sort of issues we encountered with the original version.

With this post we wanted to inform you that we are close to this release, but some things will work a little different then you are used to. Al thought we don’t that this will be an issue we simply didn’t had the knowhow how to resolve it otherwise. We will create a post once we go live with these changes so you can adapt to this.

Used technique for the rebuild

Also this rebuild is fully integrated with the backend of EVE Workbench but we ditched the Blazor Frontend technology from Microsoft in favor of a more mature framework, Angular.

So most of the code we’ve written for the Blazor version could be reused in such a extend that we only had to change it to be used in a stateless API.

This version of the website will also be the base for EVE Workbench II (version 2) and the newly announced project EVE Journal.

Aimed possible date for go live?

Well, we aim to go live with the New New Abyss Tracker somewhere in October of 2024. So, soon!

We only have a few test sessions left to see if it works as intended, if no huge issues appear we will go live with the version as-is.

Are all original Abyss Tracker features included?

No!

The New New Abyss Tracker has the same features as we introduced in the New Abyss Tracker in May of this year. But, once this version goes live we will start to build the remaining parts in Abyss Tracker. So they will return ;).
